The Outdoor Arts Ideas Summit 2016, presented by ISAN and the Brick Box
We're delighted to announce that ISAN has joined forces with The Brick Box to present the Outdoor Arts Ideas Summit 2016 on 28 October in Bradford.
The Ideas Summit is an opportunity to hear short pitches from around 30 artists and companies about new and recent Outdoor Arts projects. This will be followed by a lively marketplace, where you can meet the artists and make connections.
Registration will be open at The Wild Woods (a reclaimed department store) on Darley Street in Bradford from 12.30pm, with lunch served at 1pm. The Ideas Summit will begin with speeches at 2pm; each pitch will be a speedy and strictly-timed 3 minutes!
The marketplace will run until 6pm and then you can grab dinner (not provided) before heading an informal and fun networking event, hosted by the Brick Box and on Saturday there will be some outdoor performances.
We are very pleased to be supported by Arts Council England Grants to take this year's edition to West Yorkshire, where Rosie and Eleanor - the 'Brick Box Ladies' - have ambitious plans to transform Bradford's cultural life. This bid also includes some enterprising local work to bring more Outdoor Arts to the Bradford community.
The Ideas Summit is ISAN's annual pitching session for artists to present ideas for new projects and seek commissioners, partners, collaborators, potential bookings and feedback. We'll have a keynote speaker to focus the event - and Angus will be on the stopwatch as usual.
We will be covering artist's expenses and there will be some subsidised places for a number of programmers and producers to attend. Visit the ISAN website to apply for either.
