Gateway Art Fundraiser At MSco
Please join us for a BBQ to raise money for neighborhood art. MSco and neighborhood sponsors are putting on a shindig to raise money for the Williamson Street Gateway Sculpture project by artist Erika Koivunen. This 30-foot tall metal tree will be installed in the median at Machinery Row. A scale model can currently be viewed at Madison Sourdough cafe.
The Madison Arts Commission recently committed $12,658 for this project; the Marquette Neighborhood Association needs to raise at least an additional $27,342. All revenue from this fundraiser will be donated to the Marquette Neighborhood Association, earmarked for the Gateway Art Project.
Purchase price for this event includes BBQ pork, chicken, vegetarian options, pickles, baked beans, water or soda, and the opportunity to bid at the silent auction for many awesome items. There will also be a cash bar for locally-brewed beer. BBQ attendees will also have the opportunity to meet artist Erika Koivunen.
The BBQ will commence at 4:00 PM; food will be served until 7:00 PM. Dining will be casual, neighborhood buffet-style, featuring local and organic meats and veggies prepared by MSco's Chef Molly, with live acoustic music.
