Tuition is $450. But pre-register now for $400 (if prospective student does not pass the audition tuition will be refunded.)
Under the direction of RRP Artistic Director Seth Soloway.
The 'Serious Drama' Professional Acting Workshop for Young People is designed for young actors who have had some experience or who are just beginning.
The workshop will include improvisation, movement and vocal training, and scripted scene study.
Students will concentrate on character and emotional development, learning to define specific emotional elements and how to apply them to the character in the script. They will be challenged to use their own experiences and imaginations to enhance the creative process.
Topics covered include the actor's instrument (voice, diction, movement), connecting on stage, building a character, the 'Method,' taking direction, improvisation, and audition techniques.
The 'Serious Drama' Professional Acting Workshop, under the direction of Railroad Playhouse Artistic Director Seth Soloway, will culminate with all students performing in a classic play.
