ZumbAthon
We are raising money for the Thomson Family with a ZUMBATHON! A Zumbathon charity event is a Zumba Fitness-Party that is open to the public and raises funds and awareness for a selected charity (an organization, individual or community in need). 100% of the proceeds from this event will be going to the family.
As most of you will know Theresa was diagnosed with Cancer a couple of weeks ago. Theresa desperately wants to return home to Canada to have her treatment and be with her family and friends. Sounds simple, but sadly the law in Canada states that a returning citizen cannot automatically have access to Medical Care and they must wait 2/3 months. We appealed this decision but it got refused (only 10 out of 1000's a year get through). As Theresa cannot wait 3 months, she will need private treatment for this time period till she can access her entitlement to Canadian Medical and then finish her treatment on the Medical in Canada.
