The Art of Slow Comedy Workshop
Jimmy Carrane - The Art of Slow Comedy Improvisers, stop working so hard. Slow down. Shut up, and listen. Everything you need to do great scene work is in your partner, not in your head! You just need to know what to look for and how to listen.That is what The Art of Slow Comedy is all about: by slowing down you are able to tap into your partner's emotions, using them to create relationship, character, and "the game" of the scene all in the first few seconds! You will start making stronger choices, creating scene work that is more like good theater and less like bad stand up. The funny will come to you without TRYING so hard. Your scene work will be more satisfying, grounded and memorable. And you won't believe how easy and fun it is to work this way. This workshop has a maximum capacity of 16 people. This workshop will be held at Go Comedy! Improv Theater Academy located at 243 E. 9 Mile Ferndale, MI 48220.
