Dinner with Chef Aaron Apling-Gilman of Seven Glaciers
Chef Aaron Apling-Gilman is the Executive Chef of Seven Glaciers atop Mount Alyeska.
Graduating with honors from the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon, Chef Aaron quickly rose through the ranks, achieving the title of Executive Chef/Restaurant Manager at River's Edge Resort in Fairbanks at age 26. He went on to work at fine restaurants in Arizona, New Mexico, and New York before returning home to Alaska.
Dealing with as many local purveyors and farmers as possible, Chef Aaron's goal is to establish a sense of place and broaden culinary horizons. His menu for the evening will be almost exclusively Alaska-sourced, and will feature craft cocktails conceived by his traveling speakeasy, The Sawbuck.
