Unusual Fauna: The Dunes Blowout 2016: A Festival of Performance and Ecology
The Dunes Blowout 2016: A Festival of Performance and Ecology
September 24 & 25
Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, West Beach
NoExit is offering a caravan for Indianapolis-based fans on September 24! We'll depart Indianapolis at 11am (EST), arrive at the Dunes at 1pm (CST), depart from the Dunes at 6:30pm (CST), and return to Indianapolis at 10:30pm (EST). No one under the age of 16 may join us without being accompanied by their guardian. Young people aged 16-17 may join us with signed parental consent.
Indianapolis-based NoExit Performance travels to Northern Indiana to tell a tale inspired by the state's most unique natural environments. After witnessing the beauty of the native fauna at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, Loon, a newcomer to the lakeshore, is determined to learn to fly. Loon's feat of aerial engineering, however, inadvertently disrupts the balance of the lakeshore's delicate ecological community. With many feathered friends hanging in the balance, Loon must restore the lakeshore's natural order or discover new ways to adapt to the fragile, yet unique, ecosystem. Unusual Fauna is made possible in full by our project sponsor Save the Dunes.
Once we arrive at the Dunes, programming is free to the public.
