Lessons From Marlene Written & Performed by Katie Kalahurka
All it takes is a single moment for a life to turn upside down. Lessons from Marlene takes us on a journey depicting that very moment. In this one-woman show, Marlene Dietrich comes down to earth in the form of an angel to emcee a cabaret. Featuring songs from her old cabaret acts, she introduces an array of wild and zany characters who exemplify the lessons she has come down to teach. Written and performed by Katie Kalahurka with direction by Vanessa Severo, Lessons from Marlene aims to instigate questions about the powerful moments in all of our lives while entertaining us with song, dance, and good old fashioned sketch comedy.
