Tour guide workshop: Show off the DANK Haus!
Are you interested in Chicago history and culture? Specifically, German-American history? Can you command a crowd and have them hang on your every word? Then we are looking for you!
We are offering a chance for staff, members and volunteers to lead tours of the Haus with a workshop conducted by Robert Woyach, 1st Vice President and Chair of the Education Committee of the DANK. He has been conducting tours with the Chicago History Museum for 12 years and is currently conducting tours at the DANK since the beginning of 2016.
The workshop will give you an overview and an outline of the current spiel which we give to educational groups, private and public tours. Our hope is in the coming years, more and more travelers to the city will come up north and have a look at our exhibits to learn more about German-American history.
