The Inclusion Illusion: Strategies for Embracing & Valuing Diversity

Leaders that encourage and embrace diversity can help establish organizations that have the greatest impact in their communities. This participant-centered session provides a platform for individuals to engage in, among other things, Courageous Conversations that will challenge assumptions and expand thoughts regarding the subjects of diversity and inclusion. The unique experiences and backgrounds of the presenters contribute to a lively and meaningful exchange and will provide real-world recommendations and practical tools.

This luncheon is presented by Charles Weathers. Charles Weathers, is the founder of The Weathers Group, a nationally recognized consulting firm specializing in developing leaders and strategies that strengthen organizational performance in the nonprofit, government and private sectors. Charles, a USAF veteran, received his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University and his MBA from the University of Phoenix. A recognized authority on leadership, strategy and stakeholder engagement, he is known for his engaging intensity and ability to help groups navigate difficult conversations and
complex decisions. Charles is a graduate of Leadership Columbia, Riley Fellow, and an American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow. Charles and his family reside in Columbia, South Carolina.
