Piano Concert with Chiharu Naruse
Noting her Franco Center debut in 2007, the Portland Press Herald music critic declared Chiharu Naruse a world class artist who would grace any concert stage. Also praised for her keyboard talents in her native Japan and, later, Europe, she came to Maine in 2002 to study with the legendary Frank Glazer, then stayed to begin her career as concert artist, ensemble musician, and teacher. A jewel to be found right in our own back yard, we are fortunate to have her open this 11th Piano Series season.
