Join us on Friday, Sept. 23 as we welcome back Chester Thompson to the Jazz Cave for our next Snap on 2&4 event.

Nashville is incredibly fortunate to have a musician of Chester Thompson's caliber. The Jazz Workshop is especially fortunate to have the drummer as a faculty member and artist! With three decades of performing and recording under his belt, Chester has influenced countless musicians in the fields of jazz, pop, rock, and gospel. Aside from a stint with Weather Report, Chester's resume also includes tours with Frank Zappa, Genesis, and Phil Collins.

Chester's recent trio CD "Simpler Times" was released in 2015 and went to #5 on the national Jazz Charts.

There will be two sets beginning at 8:00 pm in the Jazz Cave at the Workshop. Admission is $25 / $15 high school and college students with ID. Tickets will go on sale Monday Sept. 12 at 10AM and will be available online on this page, by phone 24/7 at Brown Paper Tickets (800-838-3006) or during business hours at the NJW office (242-5299). A small convenience charge is added to online or 800-number purchases.

Policies: The Jazz Cave is a BYOB establishment, with no alcohol or food service. You are free to bring alcoholic beverages and snacks. We sell soft drinks and bottled water. The Jazz Cave is a listening room, and we ask patrons to keep conversation to a minimum and silence cell phones. Audio and video recording is prohibited. Ticket sales are final.
