Prubechu x Good Beer Co.

We're at it again! Prubechu is roasting a whole pig and celebrating with live music and a very special release of a rare craft beer.

This time around, we are celebrating the home town of Chef Shawn - a small but proud village on Guam called Talo'fo'fo or 'God's Country' as it is often called by its residents. Every month on Guam there is a community celebration called Fi'estas that celebrate the patron saint of a particular village. In this case, we celebrate San Miguet, the patron saint of Talo'fo'fo

We will be roasting a whole pig and serving it alongsidesome classic Fi'esta style dishes. The whole roasted pig, or Hotnon Babui, is always a main feature at Fi'estas around Guam and we'd like to share this tradition with you and your guests.Did we mention that it is ALL YOU CAN EAT?!

We'll be joined by our good friends Bert Javier(Animo Cruz) and Mike Dayao as they bless us with liveChamorromusic and island reggae through the night to keep the good times rolling.No major celebrationon Guam is complete without a live band to keep the vibes right and we're excited to share another aspect of our culture with you and your guests.

Finally, we're very excited to be debuting our craft beer collaboration with Good Beer Co. These guys are doing some really exciting things with wild yeast and fruit. They consistently put out carefully crafted sour beers in very limited quantities.

For our beerwe provided a huge amount of Laguana', or soursop, that we sourced directly from Guam. Brandon and Robin then added the fruit to their base barrel aged sour beer called Oro. From there it sat for over a year as it conditioned in the bottle creating complexity and developing flavor.

This wild farmhouse ale was produced using Laguana from Guam provided by Prubechu, added to Good Beer Co's amazing base beer Oro, and initially released as a teaser at Toronado SD. It is called Prubechu T'oro as a nod to those who made this special brew possible.
