On October 1, 2015, Cardinal Innovations Healthcare made it mandatory for all of our Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) Providers to participate in the Cardinal Innovations TFC Provider Standards Program. The Program measures provider performance and data on a quarterly basis in support of nine standards reflecting best practices in the therapeutic foster care environment. Cardinal Innovations then scores its TFC Providers based on quarterly benchmarks, and those providers meeting the benchmark will, among other things, (1) receive an enhanced rate for their TFC services for the following quarter and (2) have the opportunity to add licensed TFC homes within the Cardinal Innovations service area to their contract.
This communication is being sent to our TFC Provider Network for several reasons.
First, we wish to welcome our new TFC providers from the Triad area! We could not be more pleased to welcome you to the Network and to support you in rendering care to some of our most vulnerable members.
Second, we wish to congratulate our existing network of TFC providers for their ongoing work under the TFC Provider Standards Program. While there is always room for improvement, we acknowledge the efforts each of you has made and celebrate our Providers success and growth under the Program.
Finally, Cardinal Innovations will be holding webinar training for our TFC Providers in relation to the TFC Provider Standards Program at the following dates and times. The webinar is mandatory for (1) our new Triad TFC Providers and (2) any existing TFC Provider that did not meet the 55% benchmark for the 4th Quarter of FY 2015-16. The webinar is strongly recommended for all of our other TFC providers. We are duplicating our webinar at two separate times, in hopes that the greatest number of providers and their staff can attend. The training will be crafted to explain the Program in full and to offer clarification for those issues that have been identified as the most challenging for our Providers thus far under the Program.

2.Thursday, September 15, 2016, 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
