A Day of Mindfulness Practice
On 15th October we will be practicing sitting meditation, walking meditation and deep relaxation and hearing a recorded Dharma talk by Thich Nhat Hanh. There will be time to ask questions, share our experiences and thoughts and an opportunity to meet people with similar interests.
We will be using a meeting room at the Faith and Community Centre in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital - with easy access by train, bus or car - and aim to meet at 10.00 for a 10.30 start and to finish before 4.00pm.
With a seating capacity of only twenty-two we are wanting to encourage new practitioners to come to this introductory day which will then be followed up at a later date by a short 6-week course in Mindfulness to widen and deepen the practice and which will be open to all.
There is no charge for the day and participants are encouraged to bring food for a vegetarian shared lunch.
