Montclair Culinary Academy - Parent & Child Kitchen Knife Skills (Ages 7+)
This class is designed for parents to partner with your junior chefs and perfect your slicing, dicing and chopping in this hands-on class. You will use your new-found skills to make an authentic Pad Thai and Asian Slaw.
This class will cover how to:
Correctly hold a kitchen knife
Correctly hold food while cutting
Avoid injuries
And will feature great tips for:
Chopping kitchen staples (e.g. onions)
Basic knife cuts
Cutting uniformly
Choosing and maintaining a knife
