With a wink to the past, Modern Vaudeville is a new comedy, variety, music and talk show experience featuring the Twin Cities top performers. In October, the lineup will include comedian Miss Shannan Paul, circus-juggler Chimgee Haltarhuu, and music group Terramara.  The variety show is produced and hosted by Midwest Emmy Award Winning comedian/magician David Harris.
Circus-juggler Chimgee Haltarhuu will be featured on this show.  Chimgee was born in Mongolia and as a girl she learned gymnastics and was talented enough to beat out over 500 other children for a place in the prestigious Mongolian Circus School. In this four-year college she graduated with the highest possible honors proficient in all circus skills. Chimgee then joined the Mongolian State Circus, where she traveled all over Mongolia as well as internationally. In 1991 she was brought to America with Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey circus, where she performed adagio, acrobatics and bungee trapeze. After five years on Ringling, Chimgee performed foot juggling, hand balancing. and hula hoops with Yankee Doodle Circus and coached and performed for Circus Smirkus in Vermont. In 2002 Chimgee moved to MN and joined Circus Juventas as a coach. Soon after arriving in MN she founded her own show, Circus Manduhai, which performs in the MN and WI area.

Comedian Miss Shannan Paul will appear on this show. A self-labeled Geek, Miss Shannan Paul brings roaring laughter to even the curmudgeonliest of crowds. Twin Cities newspaper, the City Pages says, No matter where youve seen (or heard) her, you know just how great Miss Shannan is. With comedy thats personal and relatable, she has the ability to make you feel like youve been friends for years, even if youre only seeing her for the very first time.  Her storytelling and infectious smile are sure to crack up even the most stone-faced curmudgeon. She can relate to just about everyone whether they be students, Sci-Fi fans, jocks, or soccer moms.  Miss Shannan has appeared on national TV including Nick Moms Night Out, and Laughs TV on Fox, in addition to being a staple at all the top clubs in the Twin Cities.  Miss Shannan is also a regular on-air personality at the new local Go 96.3 radio station.

Local jazz-rock quartet Terramara will round out the evening with sing-songwriter, keyboardist Rob Meany at the helm.  Over the past fifteen years, Terramara has released three full-length albums, garnering a loyal following among smart-pop and jazz-rock lovers around the world.  Robs sophomore album, Four Blocks To Hennepin yielded Rob accolades as a songwriter, with the track Goodbye winning a second place finish in the international Billboard World Song Contest.  Another track, Outrunning Headlights won Grand Prize in the Positive Pop Song Contest out of Nashville.   Rob's songs have won many other prestigious awards and have also been featured in many national and international TV programs. In Minnesota, Terramara has been nominated for Best Pop Group, and Rob for Best Keyboard Player.
