Intro to Fiction Writing
Offered by Sarah Dornin
Course Fee: $89
A workshop for writers with little or no experience in writing fiction. Aimed to encourage and inspire new writers to write. Students will learn basic concepts and techniques of writing fiction like dialogue, voice, character, point of view, and plot. Students will read and discuss works by Alice Munro, John Cheever, and others. By course end, students are expected to complete a draft of a short story or at least 20 pages from a novel. There will also be fun in-class writing assignments.
