Ladies in the Fields
Join Slow Food Corvallis for a summer dinner and wine event at Tyee Wine Cellars on the picturesque Buchanan Family Century Farm to honor local women in mid-Willamette Valley agriculture. Eugene's 2011 Iron Chef winner Heidi Tunnell will prepare a four-course meal on site with local foods from family farms. The event features Tyee and Ponzi Vineyards wines, draft horse wagon tours of the Buchanan Farm, a gallery showing of the "Ladies in the Fields" portrait series by Corvallis artist Rebecca Waterhouse, and an opportunity to meet the featured farmers.Wagon rides begin at 5:30 with appetizers and wine tasting starting at 6:00 pm. The main meal will be served family-style in the barn at 7:00 pm.
