Women in the Boardroom
Based on resent research by the UW Foster School of Business summarized in a report titled The Better Boards Report women make a marked contribution to board effectiveness. The report went so far as to say Boards wishing to improve their performance should seek gender balance as a strategic imperative. Yet, according to CATALYST in a 2014 study, only 16.9% of board positions were held by women.
