ABOUT THE ANIMAL MUSEUM
Founded in 2010 as the National Museum of Animals & Society and formerly located in Hollywood, THE ANIMAL MUSEUM is proud to present the next chapter in the museums growth, with 6,000 square-feet of exhibition space for its multisensory and interactive permanent and rotating exhibitions exploring animal protection issues, animal studies (where animals and culture intersect) and humane education.
Strategically centered just off 4th and Alameda in the Arts District, The Animal Museum is now neighbors with some of the citys most prestigious museums including MOCA, The Broad, Japanese American National Museum, La Plaza de Arte y Cultura, and dozens of cultural attractions, from The Staples Center to the Walt Disney Concert Hall. We are in the citys hub for conventions and tourism and within blocks of several plant-based restaurants and public parks, including a dog park.
