WHAT IS IT?

Crashbox will by choosing 5 headlines from the papers (both print and electronic) on the morning of Friday, August 5th. Over a happy hour at Jimmy's #43, the playwrights will pick their headline, director, and performers out of a hat (or a bucket in our case). They will then have 10 hours to write a completely original, headline inspired, 10 minute play. The full teams will meet at 9 am on Saturday, August 6th to begin the rehearsal and tech process, performing the fully realized pieces that evening.
