History, History, History
A special one off performance of the finished version of Deborah Pearson's new show History History History at the Cameo Cinema in Edinburgh.  The Cameo is Edinburgh's oldest screen, first built in 1914.  Quentin Tarantino famously called it his favourite cinema in the world.
History History History is a show about the complicated and knotty narratives of history, told through a loose "translation" of a 1956 Hungarian Football Comedy.

" The shows poignant humanity, its bittersweet reflections on the relentlessness of time and its potent blend of uplifting possibility and heartrending pathos make for an enchanting 90 minutes.    The Fix Magazine

"Pearson's show shares more than just a passing resemblance to film historian, maker and critic Mark Cousins. The two both make us see a film as something more than just the 24 frames a second picture in front of us, providing context and history that make us analyse the work we see in front of us in a completely different light." - Life As Theatre, Kris Hallett

A House on Fire Commission with Theatre Garonne (France) and bit teatergarasjen (Norway).  Developed in part at the National Theatre Studio.  Supported by the Culture Programme of the European Commission.
Dramaturgy by Daniel Kitson

*Do not come to the Drill Hall.  The show will meet at the Cameo Cinema in Tollcross - 38 Home Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9LZ.  Relatively close to the Traverse Theatre.*
