The NDN Way
An Electric Moose production, commissioned by Native Earth Performing Arts.  ElectricMoose.ca

In 1974, a budding artist created her first Canadian Broadcast Corporation documentary, The Indian Way, after finding inspiration in the synthesis of the Cree worldviews (a Native American tribe) by Ron Evans. Inspired by the same original recording of the Cree storyteller, SolomonsTHE NDN WAYre-imagines, remixes and interprets these philosophies about medicine teachings, pipe ceremonies, sweat lodges and death in a highly theatrical, terrifyingly physical, visual art-warp.

Award winning Artist Brian Solomon is of Anishnaabe and Irish descent, from the Northern Ontario community Shebahnoning.  He has presented his worksVisual Art/Theatre/Danceacross Canada, Berlin, Ingolstadt, Bamberg, Amsterdam and London.  Solomon has performed for a multitude of companies and creators from Canada, the USA and Europe. His heart is on the Land of Turtle Island.
