Better Sleep with Yoga
A good night's rest is your gateway to a productive and enjoyable day. But sleep disturbances are too common as our bodies age. Yoga can help. All the exercises of yoga reduce stress in the nervous system and restore the body's natural rhythms. These exercises include relaxation techniques that you can use at bedtime or during the night. See how your sleep can improve with somatic movement, self-massage, mindful breathing, and gentle thinking.
About the instructor: Stuart Moody, M.A., counseling psychology, is a certified Ananda Yoga instructor, is certified in Education Through Movement, and this May completed Somatic Yoga Professional Training with Eleanor Criswell. He has taught Yoga for over 35 years to school children and their parents, prison inmates and staff, college students and professors, senior citizens, and classroom teachers.
Stuart served on the Standards Advisory Committee of the Yoga Alliance and is board president of Green Sangha, a mindfulness-based environmental group. He is Trainer for the Mindful Ambassadors program of Campus Health at the University of Arizona, training students to teach basic skills of relaxation and awareness.
Students comment: "Stuart is so grounded and knowledgeable." "The class has helped me eliminate low back pain." "I don't recall ever feeling so peaceful." "Stuart is a world-class instructor."
