We are excited to launch Boxers Off! in Oakland at the National Queer Arts Festival 2016.
This is the closing event for the Flexible Horizons: the Body in Transit multimedia art exhibition.
The performance will end a month-long celebration of Queer Arts in Oakland. Come out and watch some HOT Burlesque by local Masculine Of Center performers hosted by MC L Boogie.
Boxers Off! An Evening of Butch Burlesque is a monthly variety show exploring sexuality, community, and gender expression through the art of burlesque. This popular show, hosted by MC and event creator L Boogie, began in New York City to empower masculine of center bodies and expressions through dance. L Boogie is excited to bring these events to Oakland! A part of the proceeds from Boxer's Off! will be donated to organizations that support Bay Area queer youth.
There is a sliding-scale donation of 10 - 20 based on your ability to pay. No one will be turned away for lack of funds at the door!
