(Comedy) The classic BBC sitcom by Month Python founder John Cleese comes to life on The Village Players of Hatboro stage. We present three episodes of what the British Film Institute named the best British television series of all time.
The Builders Sybil and Basil are planning to go away for the weekend, leaving Polly in charge. Workmen are expected to fix a new door and block up an existing one. But, unbeknownst to Sybil, Basil has changed the contractors from Stubbs to the cheaper OReillys.
Communication Problems A difficult lady guest arrives and finds fault with everything including the view from her window (What were you hoping to see? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically . . . ) It transpires that her hearing aid is not working which adds to the confusion. Basil has had a hot tip on a horse but Sybil has banned betting.
The Germans Sybil is in hospital for an operation on an ingrown toenail so Basil has been left in charge. A party of German guests is expected and Polly is brushing up on her German whilst Basil attempts to hang a moose head in reception. A fire drill is planned but the burglar alarm goes off instead, confusing everyone, and Sybil keeps telephoning from the hospital with fresh instructions.
