Teatro DO: The Perception Project
The Perception Project is the 2012-2013 experiment conducted by Teatro DO
The project is comprised of three parts: 1) Life is a dream; 2) Morir SoƱando (street project); and 3) Butterfly's Dream. The first part, "Life is a Dream", will take place at The Performance Art Institute in San Francisco, CA in June, 2012. Several young artists, under the direction of Renata Tar (a.k.a. Renee Torres), reenact Calderon de la Barca's "Life is a Dream", the 1695 literary classic written during the Spanish Golden Age. The artists use dance, theater, video, food, and art to assist the reenactment.
Teatro Do will test and savor a map-draft of the performance with audience participation.
