Dewey 2016: Election Edition
Back, by popular demand! You're invited to an evening of merriment at the 2nd biennial Dewey Decimal Festival, DEWEY 2016: ELECTION EDITION.
Ready for a comic break from this contentious campaigning? Join us for DEWEY 2016: ELECTION EDITION -- an evening of staged readings of short comedies about politics, from the boardroom to bedroom, and beyond.
Performed by actors of all ages and political persuasions from Westchester and New York City, and produced by award-winning playwright, C.J. Ehrlich and veteran Broadway actress, Catherine Campbell, both Chappaqua residents, and the Board of the Friends of the Library, the evening promises to entertain, provoke, and amuse.
Ticket proceeds benefit the Friends of the Chappaqua Library, to support those library programs you love, like Nursery Rhyme Time, Big Truck Day, the Foreign Policy Discussion group, careers workshops, book discussion groups, and many, many more. The Friends also fund special projects like the Shakespeare Garden and the Butterfly Courtyard, and acquisitions of all kinds. Remember when you sang along with Faust, and laughed along with Red Dwarf, and dined along with Downton Abbey? Also the Friends.
Chappaqua Library programs are open to all, and with a WLS library card ANY patron can check out any of the many multi-media holdings.
So come join us! Bring your family, friends, mailman, masseuse, mother-in-law and support this gem of a library.
Note, some content may not be appropriate for children under the age of 13.
One performance only, Saturday, October 22 2016, 7.30 pm, at the Chappaqua Library Theatre, 195 South Greeley Avenue, Chappaqua NY.
For one low price you get not one, not two, but NINE new comedies, and support the Friends of the Library (priceless!)
