'night Mother
Fundraiser by local theatre people to support the theatre program at the Jack Benny Center for the Arts.

by Marsha Norman's Pulitzer Prize for Drama is a one-act play that will be performed at the Schornick Theatre, 39 Jack Benny Drive, Waukegan, IL 60087 in Bowen Park.

'night, Mother is a 1983 play by Marsha Norman about a daughter, Jessie, and her mother, Thelma. The play opens with Jessie calmly telling Mama that by morning she will be dead, as she plans to commit suicide that very evening. The subsequent dialogue between Jessie and Mama slowly reveals the reasons for this decision, her life with Mama, and how thoroughly she has planned her own death, culminating in a disturbing  yet unavoidable  climax.
