Gratitude Gathering
Join us for our 9th annual Gratitude Gathering, a celebration of all that is good on Earth and in the human heart. We will walk in nature together, guided by Catriona MacGregor, naturalist and Vision Quest guide. The setting is Roys Redwoods, a much-loved forest in San Geronimo Valley. Free for all members and friends.

Program includes yoga in the forest, a listening meditation, and breaking bread together.

About our guide:
Catriona MacGregor is award-winning author of Partnering with Nature: The Wild Path to Reconnecting with the Earth, Gold Medal winner in the 2011 Nautilus Book Awards.

Catriona is a visionary bridge-builder between nature and humankind.  Since childhood, she has had mystical experiences in nature that have provided her with a profound understanding of our connection with the natural world. She has a Doctor of Divinity and a Masters in Science (Habitat Management) and has rehabilitated hundreds of orphaned and injured wild animals.

About our location:
Roy's Redwoods is part of the network of open space preserves in the Marin County Parks.  Their website (www.marincountyparks.org) says:  "Overlooking the heart of the beautiful San Geronimo Valley, Roys Redwoods Preserve is a perfect place for a quick escape. From the main entrance along Nicasio Valley Road, you enter a picturesque meadow surrounded by sheltering bay trees interspersed with clusters of towering redwoods. These redwoods are among the largest in the county. Remember that these specimens are just the offspring of even more massive 'mother trees' that once stood in the center of these rings of 200 foot tall sprouts."

What to bring:
* Hat and other sun protection is always a good idea, even though we will be mostly in the shade.
* Sturdy, close-toed shoes you can walk a mile in, and layers for changeable weather.
* Reusable water bottle
* Earth-friendly lunch for yourself (we aspire for zero-waste, so minimal packaging is our goal!)
* Perhaps a small cushion or towel to sit upon for lunch
