Along the Silk Road: Rhythm of the Orient
The troupe, founded in 1987, is drawn from thousands of students from 80 Beijing primary and high schools. Their repertoire includes choral, band, symphonic, folk musics plus marches, dances, dramas, Beijing opera. Students use their spare time to rehearse and perform in all kinds of shows and events. They are not only able to play Rachmaninov Symphony No.2 (such a difficult symphony) skillfully but have also teamed up with the world-famous teenagers' chorus to sing Elijah Rock. Their folk dance and music performances have given many worldwide audiences wonderful memories.
