This will be a traditional Talmud class including classic commentaries and legal debate. We will study the fifth chapter of tractate Brachot focusing on the spiritual demands of prayer and the required and prohibited elements of prayer. We will sit around the table and meet the great rabbis of the Talmudic era and their interpreters from the medieval period. In addition to the group learning, we will also use chavruta (partner) study.
