The Psalms have been the focus of study, devotion, and prayer for two millennia. They have also served as inspiration for poets and writers. This class will focus on select Psalms and modern poetry inspired by the Psalms. We will explore the ways in which the devotional and personal nature of the Psalms is echoed in modern Jewish poetry.
