Virtually every form of Western esoteric practice can be found somewhere in Jewish teachings magic, angels and demons, numerology, astrology, dream interpretation, and the use of amulets, to name a few. In this course we will read excerpts from the Torah, Talmud, and writings of rabbis from Geonic to modern times that focus on these occult traditions in Judaism.
