HERE COMES A DRAMA ABOUT A RETIREMENT WORLD!
A new comedy that gives a glimpse into life in the huge retirement community of "Harkmoor," which has more than a few intended resemblances to Walnut Creeks's own Rossmoor, will have a premiere staged reading in the last two weekends of July.
The playwright, Bud Lembke, has a close acquaintance to his subject. He lives in Rossmoor and he just turned 90 May 19. His play, "Arthritis Be Damned," revolves around a fierce battle that has raged around whether or not to build an $11 million event center. Rossmoor has just been engaged in just such a controversy.
Doors open at 6:30.
