Kind Strangers and Improv Jones (SF Improv Festival 2012)
The Kind Strangers bring their latest form which depicts the Apocalypse: The Last People on Earth. As the name suggests, the Kind Strangers will improvise an apocalypse where the survivors will have to find some way to survive against an improvised menace.
From Providence, Rhode Island comes Improv Jones, arguably New England's finest improv troupe. Celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, Improv Jones is a collection of the area's best and most experienced improvisers performing original long form structures. For the past 9 years they have hosted the Providence Improv Fest. Consistent winner of regional "Audience Favorite" and "Best Of" awards, Improv really doesn't get much better than this. Improv Jones will bring Seven Stories to this year's SFIF; you write the story titles, they write the rest. Only it's not written. It's performed. Otherwise it wouldn't be improv. improvjones.com
