Advanced Beit Midrash: Conservative Teshuvot

This class is designed for students who have been in the Melton program for 5 years or longer (or who have advanced permission from the instructor). We will study famous teshuvot (responsa) from the Conservative Movement along with relevant classic texts. Teshuvot may include musical instruments on Shabbat, women in the rabbinate, eating kitniyot on Passover, and/or the ordination of GLBT rabbis.
