Death not hidden, but viewed as part of life this illustrated talk (highly suitable for anyone of a Gothic disposition) explores the Mediaeval attitude to death as celebrated in all the glorious expressions of visual art. From grisly corpses on carved tombs to pious death-bed scenes, from that Dance of Death which levels all classes to the fate that awaits us on Judgement Day if you enjoy stately funerals, public executions, jaunty skeletons and worrying numbers of the walking dead, then this is the event for you.
