SEVEN at Peconic Landing
Seven is a dramatic play based on interviews with seven women who bravely fought for women rights and social justice around the world, often at the risk of their own lives: rescuing girls from human trafficking; giving voice to the poor; protecting women from domestic violence; fighting for women's education and more. They all triumphed over enormous obstacles to bring about major changes in their home countries of Russia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Northern Island, Afghanistan, Guatemala and Cambodia.
Seven is a collaboration by seven award-winning playwrights - Paula Cizmar, Catherine Filloux, Gail Kriegel, Carol K. Mack, Ruth Margraff, Susan Yankowitz and Anna Deavere Smith.
Seven is presented by the North Fork Reform Synagogue to benefit the North Fork Spanish Apostolate http://nymida.org/north-folk-spanish-apostolate-profile/ and CAST (Community Action Southold Town) http://www.castsoutholdown.org/
The play will be read by local actors.
