Speakeasy Session #2
Welcome to the Speakeasy Sessions #2 at Urge Gastropub & Whiskey Bank! With this series of custom events hosted exclusively in our as-yet unfinished future Speakeasy, we feature some of the best food we have to offer and invite both a brewery and a distillery to pair with us. So grab a ticket, and enjoy some amazing food and drink while you get a glimpse behind the scenes as our Speakeasy is built out.
Our second session has a distinctly local feel, as we are hosting Old Harbor Distillery and The Lost Abbey, both in San Diego County. Chef Erik Lobner will serve up five custom designed dishes, each paired with a Lost Abbey beer AND a cocktail made with one of Old Harbor's delicious spirits. In attendance will be representatives from Old Harbor and from Lost Abbey to talk about the beverages served.
Here are the courses you have to look forward to:
Course 1: Sparkling Honey Goat Cheese
Goat Cheese, Honeycomb, Fennel Pollen on a Grilled Crostini.
Course 2: Duck and Camembert Salad
Frisée, Duck Prosciutto, Fried Camembert Cheese, Dried Cranberries, Citrus Balsamic Vinaigrette.
Course 3: Crab Cake Soufflé
Lump Crab, Jicama Slaw, Radicchio, Remoulade.
Course 4: Beer-Braised Short Rib
Barrel-Aged Short Rib, Bleu Cheese Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Pea Vines.
Course 5: House-Made Donut Trio.
