Una Cena Catalá
For Chef Lucas De Leon Turner, the indoctrination into California food culture began at an early age working with his mother at the Culinary Institute.  Young Lucas would help her run the farm to table program, maintain all of the ornamental & culinary gardens, and eventually he worked in the restaurant.  All of this led to a professional food career first as a butcher, then a pizzaolo.  The love affair for Catalan cuisine and culture began in Barcelona, however.  Once Lucas landed back in the states, he cooked at Dove Vivi in Portland, Oregon and then moved onto the Chez Panisse and Bar Tartine familia in the Bay.  Currently, he works for Lucky peach Magazine.  Cementing his feet in the Bay Area food culture has been the catalyst inspiring Chef Lucas with the canonical tenants of California cuisine.  Using our bountiful and diverse array of resources to approach traditional cuisines creatively fuels his passion.  Who doesn't love tapas?!

-boquerones, olives, escalivada with pan amb tomaquet

-tortilla de patatas, grilled spring onions, farmers cheese

-herb salad with tomato vinagrette, anchovy stuffed olives, fried garlic croutons, marinated fennel

-lamb two ways: zatar grilled skewers and stewed meatballs in an almond sauce, shell beans with mint, brined beets

-hazelnut ice cream, wafer cookie, and spiced chocolate sauce
