Student Supplies: pen and notebook pad of white water color paper at least 9 x 12 black art paper - this should be smooth and not construction paper. Canson and MiTientes both make this paper, which can be found in a pad at many craft stores exacto knife and cutting mat colored pencils glue stick scissors ruler

About the Author:
Jane Dunnewold teaches and lectures internationally, has mounted numerous one-person exhibitions, and has authored numerous books, including Complex Cloth and Art Cloth. She currently teaches seven to ten workshops a year and runs online classes through her website. Jane is currently committed to a series of articles related to creativity for Quilting Arts magazine.
