WE WERE CHILDREN - by Maia Henkin - THESPIS THEATER FESTIVAL 2016
Kaleb is a sixteen-year old boy with selective-mutism, whose concept of self is spiraling out of control. Painfully shy, and unable to fully articulate all of his emotions verbally, Kaleb finds solace in his burgeoning friendship with Blake. However, a mutual relationship soon becomes parasitic, as Blake feeds off of Kalebs insecurity and inability to speak for himself.
