This story shows the dreams, hopes, dangers and the stark reality teenagers confront while trying to find a place in society that pushes them away.
Swimming While Drowning gives us a glimpse into the lives of two homeless teens in a shelter for gay youth, one of them with poetry dreams and the innocence of trying to get by; the other with the experience and bruises of a tough reality. Both find inspiration to live on their own terms.
