Durufle's Transcendent Requiem!
The Critically Acclaimed Camerata California Chamber Chorus and Orchestra perform Maurice Durufle's transcendently beautiful Requiem plus one of the greatest masterworks of he Italian Baroque - Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. Artistic Director, Pete Nowlen leads the performance which features soloists mezzo soprano, Kathleen Moss, soprano, Ava DeLara, and organist, Kevin McKelvie.
Durufle's Requiem is frequently listed among choral singers and director's favorite works - and for good reason. Masterfully integrating gregorian melody and lush romantic textures and harmonies, it is inspiring both to sing and to hear.
Pergolesi's Stabat Mater is set for Soprano, Mezzo Soprano and Strings.
