PUGET SOUNDTRACK: UNDER THE CHERRY MOON
We are proud to present Under the Cherry Moon, the lace-festooned directorial debut of too-soon-departed national treasure Prince. Join His Royal Badness on an unabashedly frilly, cheesily seductive joyride through the French Riviera with Christopher Tracy (Prince) and Tricky (Jerome Benton of The Time), gigolos by profession, who set out to woo the effetely naive trust fund flapper Mary Sharon (Kristin Scott Thomas) and seduce her out of a $50 million inheritance.
A critical flop at the time of its release despite the towering fame of its director, Cherry Moon has become a cult classic, beloved for its gender- and class-bending humor, outlandishly glamorous costuming, and of course for its inestimably gifted and dearly beloved star.
The cinematographic eye of Michael Ballhaus, sometime Scorsese and Fassbinder collaborator, works wonders to shape Prince's vision into the palatable form of a '30s romantic comedy.
Band lineup TBD.
