The Man With All The Luck
Marlo Roberson, Theater294 and the Textile Co. present a staged reading of a play about luck on May 13 - Friday the thirteenth. Audience members who buy tickets online will receive a scratch-off lottery ticket at the theater.
Debbie Starker directs Cathy Clyne, Kevin Clyne, Lara Hunter, Rich Jimenez and Karin Weibert in this staged reading of the play by Claude Solnik.
The story focuses on two friends who get together after growing older and leading very different lives.
One has become phenomenally successful, while he other leads what appears to be a very ordinary, but happy life. Talent, effort and perseverance explain the difference. But what if it's something else? Can people trade luck or take luck from others? We also meet a fortune teller, a family and see what happens.
"The Man with All the Luck" mixes superstition, mysticism and realism, creating a fun story that will make you take a second look at whether we make our own luck - or it makes us.
In addition to the staged reading at 8. p.m., join us for wine and cheese at 7 p.m.
