Izakaya Rintaro
San Francisco's Rintaro has been years in the making. From pop-ups, catering gigs, and supper club appearances, this talented squad of brilliant cooks (also known as Peko Peko Catering who operate Rintaro) have been scoring big and gathering a following. The somewhat hidden and delightful restaurant is the vogue setting for enthusiasts craving that traditional Izakaya vibe with a distinct California flavor. Chef-owner Sylvan Brackett, who grew up in Nevada County and also conducted our sold out Peko Peko Paladar in January of 2013, would have it no other way. Now, the brilliant company he keeps are heading to the foothills for an encore. Khan Kogure and Ryoji Kajikawa will prepare a yakitor dinner for us in true Izakaya Rintaro fashion. For those of you who haven't had a chance to visit that beautiful venue in the city, now is your opportunity to taste the culinary treasure that is Rintaro... right here at Polly's Paladar. Join us for two nights in May for this yakitori adventure.

Obachan no Kimchee
Khans family kimchee with napa cabbage, daikon, radish, fuji apple and dried squid

Charcoal grilled minced chicken meatballs with egg yolk

Crispy salad with Hikari farm chrysanthemum greens, fried grass shrimp and crunchy daikon

Naizo no Yakitori
Charcoal grilled chicken livers with garlic paste and chicken hearts with tare

Yasai no Yakitori
Charcoal grilled asparagus and seasonal vegetable

Yaki Kamo
Grilled Sonoma Liberty duck breast with sautéed mushrooms and cress

Amani Island rice soup with chicken broth, poached chicken breast, pickled daikon and ribbon egg

Hojicha no Panna Cotta
Japanese roasted green tea panna cotta with hojicha syrup
