Collecting+Connecting Assemblage Workshop with Steve Parmelee
Join assemblage artist Steve Parmelee for a hands-on workshop with found-object art. There will be a discussion of the assemblage art process which will include sourcing materials, conceptualizing, construction, and finishes. Each participant will have the opportunity to create a unified sculptural piece out of a pile of disparate salvaged items. Think cooking-challenge, but with rusty, crusty ingredients! Please be aware that some of the fastening techniques will involve the use of power tools, adhesives & epoxies, but all skill levels are welcome. Tools and materials provided by instructor.
